Magna Science Adventure Centre

This project involved the conversion of the Templeborough Rolling Mills in Rotherham from a redundant steelworks into an attractive and first-class visitor attraction.

We worked closely with architects Wilkinson Eyre and the client, in carrying out a very extensive survey of all the existing

We were appointed to survey the Plastisol coated steel cladding of the buildings.

Based on our reported findings, decisions were taken as to what cladding could be retained and what cladding would need replacement.

Our input enabled an efficient use of the existing materials and safe replacement of materials nearing the end of their life.

This gave the Magna Centre a good start and it is now one of the most successful visitor attractions in the UK.
