Abingdon School: Yang Science Centre, Abingdon, Oxfordshire.

Abingdon School

PRA were appointed to create a detailed design of the facade and its structural engineering whilst satisfying a complicated design specification.

The Yang Science Centre, constructed of mainly brick and timber, provides the historic Abingdon School with 21 laboratories and other flexible working spaces.

As part of a  £15m redevelopment of the science facilities, the Yang Science Centre has a prominent position at one of the entrances to the school grounds.

Following a very exacting design brief, we created the detailed design of this intricate wood and aluminium facade construction.
