Sitting in a prominent position, 127 Charing Cross Road is a mixed-use building in the heart of London’s West End. The redevelopment of this building involved the addition of a new façade, a three-storey extension and the redesign of the retail and office spaces.

Patrick Ryan Associates have taken on the monitoring role since the early RIBA Stage 3, with an initial desktop review of the existing façade design information and a review of the Architects’ proposals in relation to the façade design and façade performance.

The design also included the preparation of key details to support and strengthen the tender, ensuring that the façade packages achieved the thermal, condensational, and structural requirements to ensure the buildability and performance conditions specified.

Completed earlier this year, it is fantastic to have been involved in the transformation of this BREEAM Outstanding building which now offers high quality retail and office space.
