Barry Jubb

Barry’s career in the façade industry spans over 30 years and started with a four-year engineering apprenticeship with a major structural steelwork contractor followed by a four-year graduate course in building engineering, specialising in structural design.

Subsequently working for major façade contractors, he worked on some prestigious projects such as Heathrow Airport, New Terminal 2, Twickenham Rugby Football Stadium and Wimbledon Court Number 1, before turning his experience to the consultancy role.

For over 10 years, Barry has enjoyed being involved in the whole process of building façade design and construction. He has also been heavily involved with existing buildings, carrying out condition surveys, investigations of building façade problems leading to intrusive investigations, remedials, renovation, upgrading or renewal. He has championed the need for greater quality control throughout the design and build process and applies this philosophy to all projects.

When not half way up the side of a building, he likes to hitch up the caravan, get away from it all and practice flying his latest toy which is a drone, which is sort of work related.
