Façade Focus Spotlight on Glass Façade Specification
PRA hosted its tenth Façade Focus networking event last Thursday on the topic of Glass Façade Specification. We were joined by a room full of façade industry professionals, all keen to share their experience and learning around this wide ranging topic.
Mark Foster of Allies and Morrison walked us through the Architect’s love of glass, using examples of some truly iconic buildings with glass facades and the challenges sometimes presented with the use of this material.
With such a wide range of themes associated with glass specification, David Entwistle of Saint Gobain focussed on colour homogeneity and dispersion of coatings whilst Anri Doda of Patrick Ryan Associates honed in on the issue of different types of glass distortion and how this can be managed during project specification.
It was a great evening of shared learning and networking, and we would like to thank our speakers and guests for joining us for yet another successful event.
