10 Degrees, 101a George Street, Croydon

George Street

Ten Degrees is one of the world's tallest residential skyscraper made from offsite modular construction. The two towers, 38-storey and a 44-storey high, stand as tall as the London Eye, near East Croydon Station.

We were delighted to have been asked by Century Facades to be involved as structural engineers on this landmark of a project.

The central feature of the design were the large green terracotta cladding panels. Our structural engineering team were set the task of designing a pioneering sub-structure for the green terracotta panels to be attached to the nearly 1500 modular blocks once installed onsite.

As well as this sub-structure design, we provided the structural calculations for the main façade of the two towers and the entrance porch.
