Observing World Environment Day – June 5th

This week marks World Environment Day, a global initiative that has inspired environmental awareness and action since 1973.
Led by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and observed annually on 5 June, this day highlights the urgent challenges posed by climate change, with the critical target of limiting global warming to 1.5°C now dangerously close to being exceeded.
Buildings can play a huge role in mitigating climate change by adopting design methodologies and using building materials that help reduce carbon emissions.
As Façade Consultants, we are acutely aware that the building façade is far more than the building's exterior aesthetic, it is the critical interface between the internal and external environment, playing a major role in energy performance, occupant comfort, durability, and regulatory compliance.
At Patrick Ryan Associates, we help developers, architects, and design teams achieve performance-led design through detailed Building Façade Physics analysis from the earliest project stages, whether for new-build or refurbishment schemes.
