Park Royal student accommodation, London

PRA are thrilled to be working with their client Contemporary Design Solutions (CDS) on another new purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) development in Park Royal, London.

This scheme, designed by architects Maccreanor Lavington,  will be located just to the north of Acton Town Centre and will contain 888 studio units for students, amenity, and teaching spaces, 2,000sq m of workspace and 32 affordable homes.

The scheme consists of two buildings, the main triangular tower on Park Royal Road and a smaller nine-storey block to the south containing affordable housing and commercial space.

PRA will be assisting the client, in the Gateway 2 application, to develop the overall building design from a façade viewpoint, to ensure early designs are optimal. We will be working to develop the unitised façade scheme, considering various aspects of design, construction, maintenance, transportation, durability and integrating this with the whole building design.

We are pleased to see another PBSA in development, providing improved conditions for students and offering affordable housing to the wider community.
