Patrick RyanBSc PhD CEng MIStructE FSFE - Director Patrick is a façade engineering consultant with over 30 years’ experience in the industry. He launched Patrick Ryan Associates over 20 years ago, after starting and running the façade consultancy within a multidisciplined consultancy practice for 10 years. Patrick has successfully carried out façade engineering consultancy and design on several iconic buildings including the Burj Al Arab in Dubai, the Jumeira Beach Hotel and more recently two of the tallest modular buildings in the world, 10 Degrees and College Road, situated in Croydon, London. Patrick has a passion for good façade design which fulfils all the needs of the building and most importantly complies with a moving landscape of legislation and regulation. He regularly speaks at conferences and seminars and has served as a director of CWCT. Patrick is currently a long-standing board member of the Society of Façade Engineering responsible for the Professional Indemnity Insurance working group. In his spare time Patrick enjoys cycling, making music and photography. | ||
Anri DodaMSc CEng FCIBSE MSFE - Senior Associate Anri joined PRA in 2017 as a Graduate Engineer and has since been promoted to Associate. He has a background in thermal and condensation risk analysis, is a Chartered Engineer with CIBSE and is an Associate member with the SFE. Anri leads the two main business areas within PRA: Façade Design Consultancy and Fire Recladding, taking charge of multimillion façade projects on behalf of the group and operating as Job or Project Leader where appropriate. Anri takes ownership for sustained and productive client relationships while ensuring financial success and is experienced in the delivery of a variety of complex façade designs for both high and low-rise buildings in the context of new and refurbished residential, commercial, cultural, retail and leisure developments. Anri also guides more junior team members and supports their development in order to achieve project success. In his spare time, Anri likes to practise various sports and likes travelling to exotic places. | ||
John NealeBA (Hons) DipArch ARB RIBA – Project Director John is a leading Architect with 38 years’ experience working at DMWR Architects where he is a Senior Director. As Project Director for Patrick Ryan Associates, John works across a wide range of projects, both new build and remediation, bringing with him a vast wealth of experience and expertise. As well as being a qualified Architect, John has passed the RIBA Principal Designer Accreditation course and is included on the Principal Designer Register, bolstering his competencies within the PD BSA role. John is also a Compliance Inspector as part of the Government’s Building Safety Act, helping to improve competence levels and accountability in the sector. When he does have a spare moment, John enjoys walking. | ||
Barry JubbBSc - Associate Barry’s career in the façade industry spans over 30 years and started with a four-year engineering apprenticeship with a major structural steelwork contractor followed by a four-year graduate course in building engineering, specialising in structural design. Subsequently working for major façade contractors, he worked on some prestigious projects such as Heathrow Airport, New Terminal 2, Twickenham Rugby Football Stadium and Wimbledon Court Number 1, before turning his experience to the consultancy role. For over 10 years, Barry has enjoyed being involved in the whole process of building façade design and construction. He has also been heavily involved with existing buildings, carrying out condition surveys, investigations of building façade problems leading to intrusive investigations, remedials, renovation, upgrading or renewal. He has championed the need for greater quality control throughout the design and build process and applies this philosophy to all projects. When not half way up the side of a building, he likes to hitch up the caravan, get away from it all and practice flying his latest toy which is a drone, which is sort of work related. | ||
Pughal KasinathanBEng MEng CEng MIStructE - Associate Structural Engineer Pughal is an Associate Structural Engineer with over 22 years of experience in the industry. He has a broad range of engineering interests which is reflected in his experience that ranges from building to façade structures. His expertise is material non-linearity analysis which is providing cost-effective solutions for façade framing elements. Within Patrick Ryan Associates, he is mainly involved in designing façade structures and leads the department of façade structural engineering. When not at work, he mainly spends time with family including playing cricket with his children. | ||
Luke PriorMSc - Senior Façade Consultant Luke joined Patrick Ryan Associates in 2019 and now heads up the Survey & Investigation team. He has enjoyed a wide and varied career in the construction industry spanning over 15 years which has included the manufacturing, installation, and design of facades for many prestigious buildings. With a firm knowledge of materials, facades and building methodologies, and an MSc in Façade Engineering, Luke is perfectly placed to offer expertise in detecting and investigating the issues that could lead to failures in the building envelope & façade. In his spare time, Luke enjoys inventing and developing ideas around structures and facades and solving problems with 3D printed solutions. He also leads a local Scout group and is a keen chef, much to the appreciation of his family whom he loves spending time with. | ||
Dany NyagolovaMEng, MSc, CEng, AIStructE - Senior Structural Engineer Dany is a structural engineer with more than 15 years of experience, 5 years of which are in façade engineering consultancy. Dany has wide experience of, and acquaintance with, structural design and the detailing of building envelope systems, comprising of a variety of different materials. Dany is proficient in 3D structural modelling using Finite Element Methods of analysis of the structural components within façade systems and the supporting structures and connections. Out of work, when she is not busy with her daughters, she enjoys practising gymnastics which is her passion from childhood. | ||
Jill WangBEng, MSc - Senior Façade Engineer Jill is a Façade Engineer with over 10 years of experience in the façade industry. Jill started her career as a drafter for a worldwide leading contractor and she has been working with curtain wall consultancy companies for several years. She has gained a diverse range of experience including design, engineering and consultancy in façade disciplines. She has successfully carried out façade engineering consultancy and design on several residential, commercial and mixed-use development buildings. In her spare hours away from work, Jill spends time with family and friends, and she enjoys going to the gym and pursuing outdoor activities. | ||
Nicholas TaigBEng AMIMechE - Designer Nicholas graduated in Motorsport Engineering from Brunel University and began his career in the construction industry progressing from manufacture into design through a variety of subcontractors working in different areas. At PRA he deals with the design of a wide range of building envelopes, encompassing all forms of rainscreen cladding, glazing and architectural metalwork. Outside the realm of façade design, motor sports is a passion, with Nick having raced karts for 17 years both in the UK and Europe, winning 2 championships along the way. He has recently embraced the new challenge of motorcycle racing, building and tuning a 400 superstock challenger from his home workshop. | ||
Kevin LambSenior Designer Kevin is a Façade Designer of over 35 years. Coming from an engineering background he has a wealth of experience, not only in design but also in survey (condition & dimensional), manufacture, installation as well as site review and supervision. Kevin is proud to have worked in a technical advisory role for Schuco International KG and over the years, with many prominent Architectural practices and leading façade sub-contractors. His acute attention to detail has been one of his strong points, along with a problem-solving ethos with leads to solutions rather than obstacles. Kevin also has a passion for rock climbing & motorcycling, and despite having a large family he still manages to slip away unnoticed to indulge. | ||
Iain FainDesigner Ian is a very experienced CAD Designer who for over 40 years has worked within the building envelope industry. Throughout this time, he has gained valuable knowledge & experience detailing most types of building systems & products, which cover the Roofing, Cladding, Rainscreen and Glazing industries. All of these have enabled him to tackle the most demanding of projects regarding the design aspect. He now runs his own Drawing Office company and considers himself very capable of working within any design team as and when the need arises. He mainly spends his few spare hours away from work he either socialising or walking his two labrador dogs. | ||
Mavie BaghiM.Arch, ARB - Façade Designer Mavie graduated from Sapienza Univerista’ di Roma with a first-class honour master’s in architecture and is an architect with over 15 years’ experience. Throughout her career, she has had the opportunity to explore many diverse architectural fields in a wide range of work environments and has a background in management, design and onsite construction. Mavie has experience in the preparation of technical drawings for a wide range of façade support systems and rainscreen cladding including ceramic, stone, terracotta, expanded mesh, aluminium, and glass rainscreens. In her last role, Mavie spearheaded the development of a façade solution for an aluminium rainscreen cladding design where she also coordinated between design, site teams and construction. In her spare time, Mavie loves spent quality time with her family and friends. She enjoys sharing her creative passions with her children through arts and crafts. She also has a keen interest in traveling, exploring new places, and learning about different cultures. | ||
Mary RyanBSc, MA, FCCA, Cert PFS, DChA - Finance Director Mary is a Chartered Certified Accountant who has operated her own private accountancy practice Ark Accountancy for many years. Her accountancy career started in commerce, followed by 5 years in a major industrial company. While raising her 3 children she built up her practice experience in conjunction with local accountants and now has an extensive client base of individuals, partnerships, companies and charities. In addition, she gained the Diploma in Charity Accounting and is a member of the Personal Finance Society. Her outside interests include music, and she regularly plays piano and sings at her local church and at open-mic nights. She graduated with a Masters from Kingston University in Music a few years ago. Her first degree was in Geology, and she has a teaching certificate. She sometimes gives English lessons to refugees. Her other interests are gardening and babysitting for her grandchildren. | ||
Glenn PearsonSenior Operations Manager Glenn brings over 25 years’ experience from the retail and charity sectors, specialising in administration, operations, and people management. Building good relationships and teamwork are a key priority for Glenn, whether that be with our clients, suppliers, or within the staff team. Glenn is also a qualified counsellor in private practice, as well as a Mental Health First Aid instructor for MHFA England. When not at work he enjoys kayaking, playing guitar, and is an avid armchair sports fan. | ||
Sarah AndrewsSenior Marketing Manager Sarah has over 20 years’ experience in business-to-business marketing, working mainly in publishing and media, in large corporate and smaller organisations. Sarah has also worked in the not for profit and retail sectors and has also been a volunteer at several local charities. With a BA(Hons) degree in History, Sarah still likes all things associated with the past and enjoys visiting castles and places of historical significance. When not spending time with her boys, Sarah also enjoys walking, reading, and a spot of retail therapy. | ||
Rebecca DawsonTeam Administrator Becky has over 20 years’ administration experience within the engineering, corporate financial, charity & arts education sectors. Becky has moved from a marketing role within PRA to working alongside business teams providing administrative support. Becky trained to be a professional flautist, and still teaches the flute at her home and plays with various ensembles and orchestras in and around London. As a mum of 3 boys, Becky has little spare time, but when she does she can be found adding to and reinventing her colourful wardrobe, trying her hand at interior design and drinking a good cup of coffee. |
